A new step for a healthy life: “Learn Your Ideal Weight, Live Healthy” campaign has started

A new health campaign has been launched in the Suşehri district of Sivas to encourage citizens to adopt conscious and healthy living habits and to raise awareness in the fight against obesity. The project, which was implemented with the slogan “Learn Your Ideal Weight, Live Healthy”, is carried out under the leadership of the Suşehri Community Health Center.

Effective Service in the Field for Healthy Living

Within the scope of the campaign carried out within the scope of the “Healthy Nutrition and Active Life Program” of the Ministry of Health, Suşehri Community Health Center teams went to the field to establish direct contact with citizens. Height and weight measurements were made of citizens at information stands opened in different parts of the district. Health officials evaluated whether individuals were within the ideal weight range during the measurements.

Referral Support for Overweight Citizens

As a result of the measurements taken during the campaign, citizens who were determined to be overweight were directed to the Community Health Center. In this context, it is aimed for individuals to undergo detailed health checks and enter the weight control process with expert support. The application is considered to be an important step in terms of raising awareness and directing individuals to treatment, beyond being just a health screening.

Awareness Raising Work Contributing to Public Health

This campaign, carried out by the Community Health Center teams, aims not only to combat obesity but also to improve general public health. It is emphasized that maintaining an ideal weight, which is one of the foundations of a healthy life, is effective in preventing heart disease, diabetes and other chronic diseases. With informational materials and expert advice provided to citizens, the campaign encourages individuals to take action and review their lifestyles.

The campaign, which attracted great interest in the district, began to yield effective results in a short time in increasing the public's health awareness. Citizens expressed their satisfaction by stating that such practices should be carried out more frequently. The campaign is expected to be carried out in different neighborhoods and villages in the coming days.
